I Made a Podcast for You
I made a podcast for you to share the things I say daily to the amazing people I work with, the things that so many of us need to hear, but perhaps not enough of us hear at all. I made a podcast because of the teachers and therapists and guides who have asked me the questions that have woken me up, who have known how to help me see myself more clearly, to live more awake, more fully. Sometimes this is challenging, but se la vie, what is life if not for fully living? I want to help you see you with new eyes too. I want to help you wake up a little more to who you really are (the amazing thing you are) and help you see that the things you judge in yourself you can stop judging. You can actually be free of that, you know. You can grow and change, you can also love and accept. I made this podcast because the last part is so hard for most of us. You can accept you. You can love you.Yes you. I would not lie to you.
I made this podcast because you might not want to talk about the things that are hard. You can just listen. Listening is big work too, it can wake up something within you that needs to be heard. It may want to shake things up. I made this podcast because a part of you won’t want you to change. It will need time. I hope this podcast will help you get to know that part of you, the part that is afraid to change, that may resist. I made this podcast for the part of you that will need to see that there is another way. That it is safe. It will need to see how to begin to let go of what has weighed you down and that in letting go all will not be lost. It will need to see that you can shed the old ways of being and know that you can pick up something new instead. A way of living that fits you better.
I made a podcast so that you’d have someone in your ear helping you. I want to help you see that it doesn’t have to be a battle, but you might fight for yourself in a new way. You might find it a reckoning, long awaited peace and resolution for the part of you that wants more. I made this podcast so that you might begin to see how to get there.
I made this podcast so that you start to ask yourself new questions. Instead of “What’s wrong with me??” perhaps you can ask: What do I want for yourself? How do I want to FEEL? What do I want to free myself of? What weighs me down? What do I want to unbind myself from?
Can you set aside feelings of impossibility? Can you open up to new possibility? A podcast can’t do it all, but I made a podcast so that you have a place to start. I hope it speaks to you.
